Erika Lawney, MBA
Founder & President
Erika started Ad Venture Promotions out of a spare bedroom back in 1999 with $200 from her last “real job” paycheck. With her natural business acumen and tons of determination, Erika focused on providing the highest levels of customer service while bringing her clients’ creative visions for their custom branded merch and apparel to life. In less than two years, she had built a multimillion-dollar company with the help of her amazing team.
Through word of mouth, Ad Venture’s reputation for delivering high-quality promotional items on time and on budget led to projects with some of the biggest ad agencies and global brands. No matter how complex the idea or crazy the concept, Erika would make it happen. Her innovative approach to experiential marketing, commitment to delivering value, and sincere desire to form lasting partnerships with clients and manufacturing partners around the world continue to fuel Ad Venture Promotions’ success today.
A passionate advocate for adoption and devoted wife and mother, Erika lives in Saint Johns, Florida with her husband, Pete, and daughter, Olivia. Now operating as a fully remote company, Erika has teamed up with her long-time friend, production guru, and former client, Julieana, and is excited about what the next 25 years of Ad Venture Promotions will bring.
Julieana Stechschulte
Co-Captain
Julieana’s entire adult life has been immersed in advertising. Her first job was at Chiat/Day in Venice, CA when she was 22 years old. She met her husband, an art director, producing their first magazine ad at Goldberg Moser O'Neil in San Francisco. Two years later they landed at Crispin Porter + Bogusky Miami before they won the MINI Cooper account and spent the next five years at the top of the charts.
As VP Director of Production, Julieana grew her team from 12 to 40 people to take on all the ideas that Crispin’s creative department could throw at them. Next stop, 180 Amsterdam where she worked on the Adidas +10 World Cup Campaign. Sprinkle in three kids, two dogs and a few more moves. After a lovely motherhood hiatus, she reentered the workforce on the client side and spent four years as a Producer in the creative services department at Peet’s Coffee.
It was while running the production department at CPB that Julieana and Erika met. Ad Venture Promotions was their most trusted partner and subsequently they became great friends. Years later, fate knocked on the door with an opportunity for them to work together again. Today, they chart the course for Ad Venture 2.0 as a team.
